Water Rights Acquisition: Individual Water Users
Mesa, Delta, Montrose, Gunnison, Garfield, Rio Blanco, & Moffat Counties, Colorado
Individual water users such as ranchers and residential property owners routinely rely on Western Water & Land for the hydrologic services required to support water rights applications. When necessary, hydrology reports are prepared to support applications requiring requests for approval of plans for augmentation. Such reports provide the demand and depletion details; stream depletion modeling; and replacement source analyses, including historical consumptive use analyses, historic use analysis, irrigation return obligations, conveyance loss calculations, and purchased water obligations as appropriate.
For most applications, our services are provided in close coordination with water attorneys. Western Water & Land has established strong working relationships and demonstrated experience working with leading water attorneys across western Colorado. The combination of our technical expertise and knowledge of current Colorado Division of Water Resources (DWR) policies coupled with the legal expertise provided by established water attorneys ensures the applications meet the completeness and accuracy required to facilitate timely resolution of the case through the water court.
