Plan for Augmentation: Community Water System
Hubbard Park, Colorado Western Water & Land prepared a plan for augmentation for a community water system supporting 19 summer cabins. Domestic water is supplied to the cabins by two separate springs, both of which are tributary to a creek that is over-appropriated and frequently subject to call by a senior downstream water user. The plan for augmentation was required to avoid curtailment of diversions from the springs for the community water system. Western Water & Land prepared a hydrology report documenting the hydrologic analyses performed for the application and detailing the plan for augmentation proposed to ensure the replacement necessary to offset out-of-priority depletions attributed to the system. In addition, Western Water & Land successfully demonstrated to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) that the water system did not constitute a Public Water System, and therefore, was not subject to regulation under the Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations. |
