Land Health Assessment
Western Water & Land, Inc. offers a range of services designed to provide comprehensive land health assessments. Our land health assessment program is designed to provide a combination of environmental and resource assessments which aim to serve our clients in a variety of ways. Our services are commonly used to support real estate transactions; land use changes; assessment of mine lands and mine land impacts; and contaminant investigations, mitigations, and restorations. Western Water & Land has conducted assessments for agricultural and ranch lands, conservation easements, industrial and commercial properties, residential properties, and abandoned/inactive mine lands. The key components of our Land Health Assessment Program include environmental site assessments (phase I and phase II), site characterization and remediation, hydrologic assessments, soil and sediment characterization, geological evaluations and mapping, water right inventories, and water supply quantity and quality assessments.
Proper implementation of comprehensive land health assessment requires expertise and technical capabilities in a variety of disciplines. Our professionals are trained and educated in hydrologic, hydrogeologic, and geologic sciences; waste management; environmental science; ecology; and reclamation. Our expertise is used in combination with partnerships with local experts in disciplines such as archeology, botany, and wildlife science to provide comprehensive assessment of all aspects of land health.
We work with our clients to design cost-efficient investigative programs and handle all aspects of the assessment process, including investigative planning, analytical program development, field implementation, quality assurance/quality control, safety and health, data management and interpretation, and reporting. Our assessments provide our clients with technically sound and defensible results. Our professionals are trained in the latest sampling and monitoring techniques and maintain current HAZWOPER certification in accordance with OSHA 1910.120 as well as current MSHA mine safety training.
